Perianesthesia Unit (Pre-op / APU / PACU)

The Perianesthesia Unit encompasses three areas:

• Pre-Operative Clinic
• Ambulatory Procedure Unit
• Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

The unit provides care for the adult and pediatric patients requiring surgery or specialized procedures. Perianesthesia staff ensure patient's health history is reviewed, diagnostic tests complete, preoperative and postoperative teaching complete, and recovery of scheduled surgical patients for the entire hospital.
