Health Services

Sleep Disorders Center

About us: The Sleep Disorders Center is a 5‐bed sleep lab located within the hospital and is the only dedicated sleep center in PACAF. They specialize in polysomnography testing for sleep disordered breathing and offer a full range of services to include CPAP and Bi‐level titration studies. The staff includes Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, the highest certification available for technicians in the field of sleep medicine. The department was recently joined by a board certified Internal Medicine physician who specializes in sleep disorders and is credentialed to interpret polysomnographs. In addition to sleep studies, their capabilities include evaluation of circadian rhythm disorders, hypersomnias including narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome and REM behavioral disorders. The clinic offers patients a chance to see a physician before and after testing is obtained and allows for continuity follow up for chronic disorders. They place on strong emphasis on patient education in order to select the best therapy for the individual. The department will soon be expanding to include daytime studies, actigraphy testing and additional bed space for overnight sleep studies. They serve active duty personnel from all branches of service, retirees and dependents. Preference is given to our active duty population in order to maintain mission readiness. We strive to be a friendly, accessible and efficient clinic that can restore an important aspect of your life: sleep. As a specialty clinic, a referral from your primary care manager is required to initiate care. All new appointments are booked by the referral management center.
