Walk-In Contraceptive Services
Get all your contraceptive care in one place: the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson walk-in contraceptive clinic.
All beneficiaries, regardless of gender identity, are eligible for care and counseling at walk-in contraceptive clinics and can receive education on safe sexual practices, contraceptives, and STI prevention and treatment.
There are two clinics offered each week:
- Mondays, 1 – 2:30 p.m., at the JBER Army Solider Care Medical Home
- Tuesdays, 1 – 3:30 p.m., at the JBER Women’s Health Clinic
* No services offered on family days/holidays *
Services Offered
We offer the following products and services:
- Contraception counseling
- Menstrual suppression counseling
- Birth control prescriptions
- Patches
- Pills
- Implants (i.e., Nexplanon)
- IUDs (Mirena, Kyleena, Paragard)
- Emergency contraception
- Rings (Annovera, NuvaRing)
- Depo-Provera injections
- Vasectomy preoperative evaluations
How it Works
No referral or appointment necessary! Active duty service members can show up at the clinic front desk and receive contraceptive services as applicable. Members will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
